Carlos Vargas Méndez is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. Over the past decade, his work has taken him across more than 25 countries, spanning documentary, commercial, music, live production, and narrative filmmaking. He has created work for Apple, Apple Music, Sephora, Riot Games, Toyota, Hyundai, Univision, and Sony Music, and collaborated on projects featuring artists including Bad Bunny, Draco Rosa, Farruko, and Sofía Vergara.

From 2023 to 2026, Carlos served as Producer, Director of Photography, and Studio Manager for Gil’s Arena, helping lead the production of 656 live episodes and overseeing its studio operations, production workflows, and broadcast execution. Originally from Puerto Rico, his work is shaped by an interest in identity, culture, and the relationship between people and place. He is also the founder of Colonial Pictures, where he develops commercial productions and original films.
